About Us

Brian brings two decades of experience in real estate and has a passion for utilizing technology and process improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness. After receiving an accounting degree from DePaul University, Brian spent the first seven years of his career working at Deloitte, the Big Four accounting firm, serving a variety of real estate clients including public and private real estate investment trusts (REITs), investment advisory firms and fund managers, all owners and operators of a broad array of property types. 

For a decade plus following, Brian held progressive roles at Retail Properties of America (NYSE: RPAI), beginning with oversight of accounting and ending with FP&A and corporate finance, along the way maintaining a constant focus on people development, process improvement and system optimization. In addition to providing finance and accounting leadership, Brian also served as the business leader for numerous system implementations including Oracle/JD Edwards, Argus Enterprise and a business intelligence platform. RPAI is a publicly-traded retail REIT with $5 billion in primarily retail and mixed-use investments. Over the course of his career, the company completed a successful IPO and transacted over $4 billion in acquisitions and dispositions, in addition to numerous public and private capital markets transactions. 

Most recently, Brian was CFO of CA Residential, the multifamily platform of CA Ventures, a privately-held, vertically-integrated national development firm. As CFO, he built a team, established best-practice business processes, communication lines and enhanced systems to support the institutional investment management of a $3 billion national portfolio of Class A multifamily developments. 

Brian founded Ada Street Realty Advisors in 2020.
